Part of the charm of Northampton House is derived from the elevation and architecture of the original Chapel. Originally built as the American Fork 3rd Ward, the chapel was built in 1903 in the Gothic Revival style showing beautiful Jacobethan elements: originally adorned with stained glass windows and decorative moldings and unique stenciling - truly a unique landmark.    Joseph F. Smith dedicated the building on March 17, 1907. There were 500 people present at the dedication.  The chapel was one of four built in American Fork at the same time. It is one of the two standing today.
